Job Description

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer. You will be required to provide on-site engineering support, liaising with customers and service/breakdown controllers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a flexible and ‘can do’ approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As an ambassador for the company, good presentation and the ability to communicate at all levels are essential attributes.

Responsibilities:

1. Attend breakdowns on-site, diagnose faults, and carry out rectification.
2. Perform routine servicing for all equipment at customer sites.
3. Implement planned maintenance for all equipment at customer sites.
4. Diagnose, repair, and build generators/engines.
5. Carry out planned maintenance for all equipment in the depot.
6. Ensure optimal parts stock levels are maintained and review stock regularly.
7. Allocate parts used on the works mobile tablet accurately.
8. Record and process all jobs on the mobile tablet promptly.
9. Report potential customer recharges to the Service Controller.
10. Provide backup support in other areas and depots as needed.
11. Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
12. Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
13. Perform any other duties as requested by your manager.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role and/or relevant mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Valid driving license.
• Good communication and literacy skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility regarding travel, tasks, and working hours.
• Remote working – home-based.
