Senior Commercial Manager – Infrastructure Projects (MEP focus)

Location: Based near Derby

Salary: Up to £75,000 + car allowance + private medical + excellent benefits

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Want to step into a role with real commercial ownership? This is a strategic Senior Commercial Manager position overseeing live projects, bid reviews, and contract negotiations across a growing infrastructure division.

You’ll work closely with the Operations Director and take ownership of the commercial function—from CVRs and risk registers through to mentoring junior staff and negotiating high-value contracts.

The project portfolio spans defence, energy, healthcare, and rail. A background in MEP building services is ideal, but we’re also open to main contractor professionals who have managed MEP packages.

What we’re looking for:

1. Proven commercial leader with contract negotiation experience
2. Confident working across CVRs, risk, procurement, and live project reviews
3. Able to lead, coach, and support junior QSs and Commercial Managers
4. Comfortable working on secure/regulated projects (defence/energy)
5. Ideally MEP background – or strong understanding of building services

Typical project values range from £1m to £40m.
