Operations and Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to work on Highways England Contracts, focusing on maintenance and commissioning activities within your designated area, including the top of M25, M4, M11, and the bottom of M1, A14, M40, A1(M).

This role involves working with a supportive team while also requiring initiative to solve field problems. Our field teams are essential in delivering maintenance, installation, cabling, and civils works, helping keep the nation's infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Attending to cable breaks and repairing copper and fibre cables to maintain network functionality.
• Completing all commissioning activities to standard, on time, and within budget.
• Addressing equipment issues in Transmission Buildings and Roadside Cabinets within your area, day or night.
• Performing general maintenance and testing on fibre and copper equipment.
• Completing all required documentation promptly.
