Job summary

PSD Scotland is seeking an experienced Educational Lead in Optometry to drive postgraduate education for Community Glaucoma Service (CGS) and Community Low Vision Service (CLVS). The role involves coordinating training, engaging with learners and assessors, and shaping national education strategies across Scotland.

The successful candidate will work with the Optometry team, Senior Educators and partners across NHS boards, with some travel and flexible evening/weekend sessions required to deliver

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in eye care/optometry.
• Experience delivering and managing training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of postgraduate optometric education for CGS and CLVS.
• Coordinate learners, assessors and placement providers across all education required for CLVS/CGS.
• Collaborate with Senior Educators and Educational Leads to deliver training.
• Occasional travel and attendance at evening/weekend events.
