Job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety and presentation of our academy buildings and grounds. You will lead the site team, manage maintenance, and ensure compliance with health, safety and fire regulations.

Working with the Operations Manager and Estates Team, you will coordinate contractors, conduct regular site inspections, and maintain records to create a safe, welcoming environment for scholars, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in site, premises, facilities or building management.
• Trade qualification or substantial experience in joinery/plumbing or similar maintenance.
• Experience managing teams and staff development.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, health and safety and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Site Team to maintain high standards across the academy.
• Oversee maintenance, presentation and security of buildings and grounds.
• Act as key holder, overseeing opening and closing procedures and site security.
• Coordinate general repairs, maintenance and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, legionella and health & safety regulations.
• Manage contractors on site and monitor quality of works.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain maintenance records.
• Respond to emergencies and site-related issues.
• Collaborate with academy leaders and Estates Team to improve the learning environment.
