Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants are seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer for a well-established educational provider in Rotherham. This temporary role runs until December, offering a chance to support safeguarding and welfare across the organisation and to help create a safe, inclusive learning environment for learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding, welfare, pastoral support, or similar.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
• Experience with young people or vulnerable adults.

Responsabilités

• Act as a point of contact for safeguarding and welfare concerns across the organisation.
• Support the identification, assessment, and management of safeguarding concerns and referrals.
• Liaise with learners, parents/carers, staff, and external agencies to ensure appropriate support is provided.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date safeguarding records in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
• Support investigations and safeguarding interventions where required.
• Monitor learner attendance, wellbeing, and engagement, raising concerns where appropriate.
• Assist with safeguarding training and awareness activities for staff and learners.
• Work closely with curriculum, pastoral, and support teams to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Prevent, health and safety, and data protection requirements.
• Contribute to safeguarding audits, reports, and quality assurance processes.
