Job summary

Oldham Council is seeking an Education Lead for the Multi Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) to provide specialist safeguarding expertise within a multi‑agency framework. The role focuses on ensuring education needs, risks and protective factors influence decision‑making and planning for vulnerable children and young people.

Qualifications

• Experience in education safeguarding or senior education role with safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist education safeguarding expertise within multi‑agency child protection processes.
• Represent education within strategy discussions and safeguarding forums to inform assessments and plans.
• Build partnerships with schools and education providers to obtain timely information for safeguarding responses.
• Analyse educational data to identify risks and safeguarding concerns for vulnerable children and young people.
• Champion improved educational stability and outcomes through quality assurance, training and collaboration.
