Job summary

Enfield Council is recruiting for a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join the new MACPT. The role is full-time and salary range £57,375 to £72,777, with interviews planned for w/c 05/10/26.

You will work with education, police and health partners to deliver multi-agency safeguarding and decision-making to protect children. The post reports to MACPT Service Managers and Head of Safeguarding, requiring extensive experience in child protection, Section 47 enquiries and leading safeguarding

Qualifications

• Lead Child Protection Practitioner with significant experience in safeguarding children.
• Experience of multi‑agency child protection processes and national legislation guidance.
• Ability to lead planning and decision-making to prevent and stop harm.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MACPT team meetings and contribute to planning and reviews.
• Identify and respond to actual or likely significant harm in Section 47 enquiries.
• Demonstrate robust decision making and action to protect children and families.
