Job summary

Enfield Council is seeking a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join the newly formed MACPT. You will lead safeguarding decisions, work across education, police and health, and ensure timely multi-agency responses to child protection concerns.

You will be expected to meet the LCPP standards, oversee planning and intervention to prevent harm, and participate in MACPT meetings. Interagency collaboration and staff wellbeing are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of protecting children at risk of abuse inside or outside the home.
• Experience of leading child protection processes and coordinating with education, police and health.
• Knowledge of Department for Education Lead Practitioner standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead MACPT meetings and planning reviews.
• Identify and respond to actual or likely significant harm.
• Engage families during Section 47 enquiries and plan interventions.
