Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking an Education Lead for the newly formed Multi-Agency Child Protection Team within Children’s Services. Qualifications

• Experience as Designated Safeguarding Lead in education.
• Degree level education and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Knowledge of statutory child protection framework.
• Ability to assess information for effective decision-making.
• Experience in multi-agency safeguarding collaboration.
• Full driving licence and access to vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Act as the child protection expert for education, promoting inclusive practice across schools/settings.
• Build assessments of children’s needs with perspectives from across the team.
• Liaise between MACPT and Education Services to ensure education entitlement.
• Work with the team to understand the child’s daily life to assess risk and safety planning.
• Provide consultation and advice to social care professionals on child protection issues.
