Job summary

Keys Education is seeking self-employed tutors to deliver 1:1 tuition to children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs in Peterborough, primarily face-to-face at home or in community settings.

Roles involve tailoring lessons, building confidence, and safeguarding coordination, with some remote teaching opportunities; minimum 2 days per week, term-time only.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is not essential
• Minimum of 1 year's experience teaching or tutoring children and young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
• Experience delivering the UK curriculum
• Availability for at least 2 days (or 4 sessions) per week
• A compassionate, child-centred, and trauma-informed approach
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, one-to-one lessons aligned to each learner's individual needs
• Support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs to build confidence and make meaningful progress
• Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and wellbeing
• Work closely with safeguarding specialists to ensure student safety at all times
• Primarily deliver face-to-face tuition in students' homes, with some remote teaching opportunities
