Job summary

Keys Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to support vulnerable students on a 1:1 basis across KS3-5 in Maths, English and PSHE. The role involves home tuition, online lessons, and enrichment activities, with resources provided and a curriculum team offering support.

You should have experience with SEND/SEMH, hold a valid UK driving licence, and be able to provide evidence of business-insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring children with SEND or SEMH needs.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 tuition in Maths, English and PSHE.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one tuition in Maths, English and PSHE for KS3- KS5.
• Assist learners to engage with education and gain qualifications.
• Contribute to resource creation and scheme of work with curriculum team.

Alternative Learning is looking for an inspiring SEN Tutor to support vulnerable students on a 1:1 basis in Maths, English and PSHE at KS3. We support a range of learners across Keys stages 3 -5 to re-engage with education, gain accredited qualifications and transition to a positive destination.

We support young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to SEMH needs, EBSNA, anxiety or SEND needs. Our personalised approach includes face-to-face home tuition, online lessons, enrichment activities, outdoor education and EHCP linked therapeutic intervention.

• Support with resource creation, schemes of work and innovation from our curriculum leadership team
• You will feel part of the team, regularly supported and invited to team meetings, coffee mornings and holistic reviews of the children

• Access to all systems and subscriptions including AI powered resource creation
• A regular and consistent timetable to help you plan your diary in half termly chunks
• We empower our tutors to have their say on the curriculum offer for every child. This includes soft skills, numeracy/literacy, cooking, re-accessing the community and more
• Opportunity to complete exams with learners as we are a registered exam centre for Functional Skills, AQA unit award, Outdoor Ed quals, ASDAN, Open Awards, PSHE modular qualifications and more

Requirements:

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• Experience of tuition of children with SEND or SEMH needs
• Must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to your own vehicle, and be able to provide evidence of valid business insurance and a current MOT.
