Job summary

Keys Education in Yarnton is seeking an inspiring SEN Tutor to support vulnerable learners on a 1:1 basis in Maths, English and PSHE at KS3. You will work with learners across key stages 3–5 to re-engage with education, gain accredited qualifications and transition to a positive destination.

Role includes face-to-face home tuition, a regular timetable, and access to curriculum leadership support. Driving licence and own vehicle are required, with DBS checks and safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Commitment to students with SEND.
• Experience tutoring children with SEND or SEMH.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, plus evidence of valid business insurance and MOT.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition in Maths, English and PSHE at KS3.
• Help learners re-engage with education and achieve qualifications.
• Contribute to curriculum development and liaise with curriculum leadership.

Alternative Learning is looking for an inspiring SEN Tutor to support vulnerable students on a 1:1 basis in Maths, English and PSHE at KS3. We support a range of learners across Keys stages 3 -5 to re-engage with education, gain accredited qualifications and transition to a positive destination.

We support young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to SEMH needs, EBSNA, anxiety or SEND needs. Our personalised approach includes face-to-face home tuition, online lessons, enrichment activities, outdoor education and EHCP linked therapeutic intervention.

• You will feel part of the team, regularly supported and invited to team meetings, coffee mornings and holistic reviews of the children

• A regular and consistent timetable to help you plan your diary in half termly chunks

• Opportunity to complete exams with learners as we are a registered exam centre for Functional Skills, AQA unit award, Outdoor Ed quals, ASDAN, Open Awards, PSHE modular qualifications and more

Requirements:

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• Experience of tuition of children with SEND or SEMH needs
• Must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to your own vehicle, and be able to provide evidence of valid business insurance and a current MOT.
