Job summary

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner to undertake a training year with the University of Derby while working in the Mental Health Support Team.

The role delivers Low Intensity interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Techniques for Children and Young People, under supervision, within a multi-disciplinary team across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Moorlands. Flexible shifts and CPD support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must meet criteria laid out by the University of Derby to access the training course (postgraduate or graduate).
• Training year is with the University of Derby while working in the Mental Health Support Team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver low intensity CBT-based interventions for children and young people under supervision.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team in the Mental Health Support Teams across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Moorlands.
• Participate in CPD and supervision aligned with Trust values.
