Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our Lichfield Mental Health Support Team. You will continue the excellent work in allocated schools, delivering group work, assemblies, and individual assessments while supporting whole-school approaches to mental health.

You will conduct risk assessments and work with families and educators to plan appropriate interventions, across the Staffordshire locality within the MHST framework.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people, their families and others.
• Experience of liaising with agencies and stakeholders.
• Delivery of interventions for anxiety and mood disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver evidence-based interventions in educational settings for CYP with mild/moderate mental health difficulties.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and partners to develop intervention plans and outcomes.
• Support whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage safeguarding within settings.
• Deliver group work and 1:1 sessions across schools in Staffordshire.
