Job summary

Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust is seeking an IT Technician to join its central IT services team. You will provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support for schools, primarily in South Birmingham and Solihull, with travel to various sites.

The role is based at the MAT head office in Handsworth and involves coaching in digital solutions to improve learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic about IT, possess strong customer service and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Enthusiasm for IT and technology.
• Enthusiasm for learning and self improvement.
• Experience supporting end users with technology.
• Knowledge of Office 365, Windows 10 and the Microsoft ecosystem.
• High standards of customer service and strong communication skills.
• UK driving licence and ability to travel between schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support for the schools in the trust.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with network maintenance.
• Contribute to development of digital solutions to enhance learning.
• Travel to schools around South Birmingham and Solihull as required.
