Job summary

Aspris Children’s Services seeks an IT technician to provide day-to-day technical support across our specialist schools for pupils with autism and complex needs in Chorley, Leyland and Preston. You will maintain hardware, support software, and ensure secure networks to enable teaching and communication.

The ideal candidate has IT support experience, knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Experience in IT support or technician roles.
Good knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; patient and approachable.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support to colleagues and pupils.
Respond to help desk requests promptly and effectively.
Maintain and troubleshoot hardware (PCs, laptops, tablets, interactive boards, printers, mobile devices).
Support software installation, updates and user access across educational programs.
Ensure secure and efficient network, Internet and Wi‑Fi; assist with IT inventories and asset tracking.
Support use of technology to aid learning, including assistive devices and software.
Collaborate with teaching and support staff to enhance learning through IT.
Uphold data protection, safeguarding and online safety policies.
