Job summary

Accrington St Christopher's Church of England High School is looking for an ICT technician to support and maintain our school IT systems. The role involves managing users in Microsoft 365, servers, and networked printers, plus deploying updates and safeguarding our digital infrastructure.

You will work with staff and students, troubleshoot problems, and implement new systems after testing. A relevant ICT qualification and experience in a school setting are preferred, with good English and maths

Qualifications

• Possession of a relevant ICT qualification, or the ability to demonstrate capability to gain one
• Experience of working in a school or college
• Knowledge of Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft 365
• Experience deploying updates, printers and networked devices
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems, including communicating fixes clearly
• Willing to undertake PAT test training

Responsibilities

• Manage users in a Microsoft 365 tenancy
• Maintain and repair PCs, printers and AV equipment
• Deploy Windows updates and printer deployments
• Manage Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and network services
• Troubleshoot incidents and communicate fixes to end users
• Plan and organise tasks to meet deadlines
