Job summary

AWDO invites an experienced HR Manager to lead a broad People function across schools and central teams, reporting to the Director of People. You will oversee employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, HR systems and data, ensuring compliant service delivery and continuous improvement.

The role requires CIPD Level 7 or equivalent, senior HR experience and willingness to travel between sites. This permanent, full-time position offers 37 hours per week, regular cross-site duties and

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent)
• Senior operational HR experience at Senior HR Advisor or HRBP level
• Experience handling complex ER casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance and safeguarding matters
• Experience leading organisational change, consultation and restructuring
• Experience advising senior leaders and improving HR processes
• Knowledge of education HR, safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements
• Experience managing and developing HR staff or teams
• Strong investigative, analytical, reporting and stakeholder-management skills
• Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Teams)
• Willingness to travel between sites

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational HR delivery and line manage HR Assistants
• Provide expert advice on employee relations and HR compliance
• Drive organisational change, TUPE activity and restructures
• Oversee recruitment, workforce planning and probation processes
• Lead HR systems development, data integrity and reporting
• Monitor service performance, SLAs and HR risks
• Support senior leaders and deputise for senior People leadership
