Job summary

Wade Macdonald is recruiting an experienced HR Advisor (Education) for a part-time, 25-hour-per-week temporary role in Thatcham. You will work with the HR Manager providing hands-on generalist HR support focused on employee relations, safeguarding and safer recruitment, and ensuring SCR compliance.

You should bring prior HR experience in an education setting, knowledge of employment law, and the confidence to advise and guide managers. CIPD Level 5 is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Suitable HR generalist with experience in education settings.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment.
• Experience advising managers on employee relations matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations, including absence and performance cases.
• Advise managers on day-to-day people issues.
• Support safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.
• Ensure the SCR and HR records stay compliant.
• Provide guidance on employment law and HR policies.
• Support recruitment activity and review job descriptions.
• Assist with wider HR projects and priorities.
