Job summary

JDS Recruitment in Debden, Essex, is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead compliance for a group of consultants and ensure candidates are fully compliant for working in the education sector.

You will manage applications, chase outstanding documents, perform UK Right to Work checks and DBS checks, maintain accurate records in our CRM, and provide clear, timely updates to the team. This role requires organisation, reliability and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance within recruitment or education sectors.
• Strong organisation, time-management and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with DBS checks and Right to Work checks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing compliance for a dedicated group of consultants.
• Processing candidate applications and ensuring information is accurate and complete.
• Communicating with candidates and consultants regarding outstanding documentation.
• Carrying out Right to Work checks in the UK.
• Processing DBS applications and checks.
• Requesting and sending references.
• Maintaining compliance records on our CRM system.
• Monitoring outstanding compliance requirements and following to clearance.
• Keeping up to date with employment law and compliance changes.
• Using internal systems to maintain clear records.
• Communicating with consultants to keep updates.
• Managing multiple applications and compliance tasks simultaneously.
• Supporting the wider team with general compliance and admin duties.
