Job summary

Top Marks Education is recruiting for a Centre Manager to lead a busy alternative education centre in Hereford. The role focuses on strong leadership, staff development and delivering high-quality learner-focused services.

You will oversee daily operations, programme delivery and safeguarding, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for learners and staff while meeting organisational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and management experience in education, training, youth work or similar.
  • Strong organisational and operational management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience managing teams and developing staff performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills.
  • Experience building relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and professional working environment.
  • Organise training and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and development of staff as required.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the centre and ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation and operational planning.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely reporting.
