Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, operating through Chartwells, is seeking a Supervisor to help run a full-time operation contracted to 35 hours per week across 43.6 weeks per year. You will lead a frontline team, ensure deliveries are checked and stored promptly, and manage weekly rotas with a strong focus on customer service.

The role requires capable supervision, clear communication, and a positive, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a similar environment.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and ability to stay positive under pressure.
• Wamiliar with managing rotas, stock orders, and basic bookwork.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder and support weekly bookwork.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidelines; place stock orders.
• Delegate tasks and ensure proactive team performance.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
