Job summary

Compass Group UK&I (Chartwells) is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor for part-time hours (25 per week) contracted over 43.8 weeks per year. You will oversee all catering and service operations, ensuring exceptional food and world-class customer service across our school catering sites.

The role requires at least two years of catering experience, team management experience, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

Qualifications

• Two years catering experience minimum.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and service.
• Monitor KPIs and targets in regular liaison with the line manager.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and uphold the brand image.
• Coordinate between customers and kitchen/service teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and develop team members, leading from the front.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all teams.
