Job summary

DLA ARCHITECTURE Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced BIM lead to deliver education/school projects to DfE standards. You will lead technical delivery, coordinate design solutions, and manage client engagement through the CEM process.

You will oversee BIM coordination, clash detection, and information management while guiding multidisciplinary teams. The role requires strong leadership, site liaison, and a track record of delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience delivering education projects to DfE or equivalent standards.
• Strong leadership and advanced Revit/BIM expertise.
• Ability to lead technical, commercial and construction-phase delivery.
• Develop compliant design solutions aligned with DfE standards.
• Coordinate client engagement through the CEM process.
• Manage programmes, resources, risks and construction-stage activities (RFIs, change control, technical risk).
• Oversee production, coordination and QA of technical information to meet contractual, CDM and BIM requirements.
• Act as technical lead for BIM coordination, clash detection and information management.
• Support design, technical and site meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams; promote best practice and professional development.
• Monitor progress, consultant performance and site delivery to handover.
• Build strong client/stakeholder relationships to support repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical, commercial, and construction-phase delivery to meet time and budget goals.
• Coordinate design development with BIM lead and ensure DfE-aligned solutions.
• Manage RFIs, change control and technical risk across projects.
• Ensure coordination and QA of technical information for compliance.
• Represent the team in client, consultant and contractor meetings.
• Mentor junior staff and promote BIM best practices.
• Track progress and contribute to project closeout and handover.
