Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an Associate Director/Architect to lead education projects from detailed design through construction in Leeds. You will mentor junior staff, drive technical excellence and manage client relationships within a respected AJ100 practice.

The role emphasizes leadership, Revit/BIM coordination, and delivering project outcomes to strict Department for Education standards, with hybrid working and clear progression toward Director level.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered Architect or CIAT Chartered Architectural Technologist.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4 & 5.
• Strong Revit and BIM coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of education projects through RIBA Stages 4 & 5.
• Manage projects from detailed design through construction and handover.
• Act as the primary technical contact for clients, consultants and contractors.
• Develop coordinated, compliant and buildable design solutions in line with DfE standards.
• Lead client engagement throughout project delivery and support repeat business.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams using Revit and BIM processes.
• Chair design team, technical and site meetings where required.
• Manage construction-stage queries, RFIs, technical risks and change control.
• Ensure projects comply with Building Regulations, CDM requirements and DfE guidance.
• Monitor project programmes, quality, budgets and consultant performance.
• Mentor junior Architects and Technologists; support Leeds studio growth.
