Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting two SEMH provisions within the same trust in the Northampton area by appointing an Attendance and Welfare Officer. The successful candidate will work across both provisions and help improve pupil attendance and welfare.

The role involves pupil home visits, collaborating with pupils, parents, Heads of School and external agencies to provide effective support, with a focus on safeguarding and welfare outcomes.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Experience or understanding of attendance and pupil welfare.
• Strong multi-agency communication skills.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and parents.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with two SEMH provisions within the same trust in the Northampton area, who are looking to appoint an Attendance and Welfare Officer. The successful candidate will work across both provisions.

The trust is looking to take on a full-time Attendance and Welfare Officer from September. The Attendance and Welfare Officer will carry out pupil home visits to help improve attendance and complete welfare checks, working closely with pupils, parents, Heads of School and external agencies to provide effective support.

The successful Attendance and Welfare Officer will have:

• A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle
• Experience working with children, young people and families
• Experience or understanding of attendance and pupil welfare
• Strong multi-agency communication skills
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and parents
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

In return for the above you can expect to receive:
