Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an Attendance and Welfare Officer to support two SEMH provisions within a trust in the Northampton area. The role is part-time with hybrid working options and involves pupil welfare checks and home visits to improve attendance.

The successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence, experience with children and families, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and parents, working collaboratively with staff and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

• Experience or understanding of attendance and pupil welfare.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and parents.
• Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pupil home visits to improve attendance and welfare checks.
• Work closely with pupils, parents, Heads of School and external agencies to provide support.
• Support two SEMH provisions within the trust and ensure consistent welfare monitoring.

East of England/ permanent / £28k - 30k per year pro rata

TeacherActive is proud to be working with two SEMH provisions within the same trust in the Northampton area, who are looking to appoint an Attendance and Welfare Officer. The successful candidate will work across both provisions, with hybrid working available as part of the role.

The trust is looking to take on a part-time Attendance and Welfare Officer from September. The Attendance and Welfare Officer will carry out pupil home visits to help improve attendance and complete welfare checks, working closely with pupils, parents, Heads of School and external agencies to provide effective support.

The successful Attendance and Welfare Officer will have:

• A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle
• Experience working with children, young people and families
• Experience or understanding of attendance and pupil welfare
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and parents
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

In return for the above you can expect to receive:

• A salary of £28,000 - £30,000 pro rata
