Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting two SEMH provisions within the same trust in the Northampton area by appointing an Attendance and Welfare Officer. The successful candidate will work across both provisions and help improve pupil attendance and welfare.

The role involves pupil home visits, collaborating with pupils, parents, Heads of School and external agencies to provide effective support, with a focus on safeguarding and welfare outcomes.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Experience or understanding of attendance and pupil welfare.
• Strong multi-agency communication skills.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and parents.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pupil home visits to help improve attendance and welfare checks.
• Work closely with pupils, parents, Heads of School and external agencies to provide effective support.
• Work across two SEMH provisions within the same trust.
