Job summary

Expleo are recruiting for an EDS Engineer to join our team in Staffordshire, supporting a major off-highway manufacturer. You will develop innovative electrical systems, support design and integration of architectures, and contribute to component selection to meet off-highway demands.

Responsibilities include high and low voltage system design, CAD wiring definitions, safety-critical design principles, testing, and production of technical specifications and standards.

Qualifications

• HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficient in Zuken E3 and Siemens NX.
• Solid understanding of machine electrical components and harness architectures for off-road applications.
• Good knowledge of vehicle legislation and standards across UK, Europe, Rest of World.
• Experience in off-highway or automotive electrical system design.
• Experience in circuit fault detection and diagnostics.

• Developing 12V and 24V electrical systems for standard vehicle applications.
• Using CAD tools to define vehicle electrical wiring systems.

• Specifying electrical and electronic components for vehicle applications.
• Conducting testing and validation of electrical and electronic components and systems.
• Producing technical specifications, group standards, and engineering instructions.
• Carrying out system and installation reviews to established standards.
• Setting up and maintaining development and validation rigs.
