Job summary

M&S in Wakefield is seeking a Security Officer to create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues. You’ll stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism and take pride in delivering great service while protecting people and products.

You’ll be a confident, customer-focused presence in-store, using store tech and reporting systems to support operations, prevent loss and respond to incidents, while maintaining a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible, professional presence in-store to support customers and colleagues.

Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues.

We're looking for confident, customer-focused individuals who can combine strong awareness with a warm and approachable attitude. You'll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure.

• -You'll help keep our stores safe and secure. From preventing loss and responding to incidents, to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, you'll play a key role in protecting the M&S environment.
• -Being digitally confident is essential. You'll use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• -You'll stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, you'll always act professionally and confidently.

What we're looking for
