Job summary

Wavenet, the UK’s largest managed service provider, seeks a Network Engineer to join the Edge Network team. You will review firewall change requests, manage routing updates, and troubleshoot client connectivity while supporting VoIP and Wireless networks and performing Break/Fix replacements.

The role requires CCNA/CCNP level knowledge (or equivalent) and practical experience with Cisco FTD, Firepower, and Call Manager.

Qualifications

• Firewalling and security best practices
• Experience configuring Cisco FTD appliances
• Wireless controller setup and AP management
• VLANs, LACP, STP and network topology basics
• VoIP concepts, Call routing and Cisco VoIP tools
• Good verbal and written communication and documentation

Responsibilities

• Review and process firewall change requests
• Assist with routing changes and connectivity troubleshooting
• Support and maintain VoIP and Wireless networks
• Perform Break/Fix replacements and troubleshooting on client networks
