School Maintenance Caretaker

£15.00 - £18.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Maintenance Professional looking to transition into the Education sector? I am currently recruiting Maintenance professionals to work on an ongoing TEMPORARY basis, supporting site teams in carrying out day-to-day general maintenance and site work in Schools across the area.

There will be FULL TIME AND PART TIME positions available throughout the School year, with varying durations. There may also be an opportunity to move to a PERMANENT CONTRACT within the Schools, although this is not guaranteed.

You must be available to start immediately and be FLEXIBLE WITH WORKING HOURS, as some Schools require staff to work split shifts, e.g., 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and then return at 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

As a full-time temporary school caretaker, you will be expected to:

1. Carry out general maintenance of the school and litter picking
2. Perform odd jobs delegated by the supervisor
3. Open and close the school building
4. Work independently and as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
5. Set alarms

Additionally, you will need to:

1. Complete full registration with us, including providing right-to-work documents
2. Obtain an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, which we will process at a cost of £47.20 unless you already have one registered on the update service
