Industrial UPS Sales Manager

Location: Hybrid with regional responsibility.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage customer expectations concerning enquiries and tenders.
  2. Review, comment, and negotiate commercial terms, including credit requirements.
  3. Lead handover meetings and take ownership of commercial aspects such as margins.
  4. Attend customer meetings in person or via Teams as needed.
  5. Discuss and review initial proposals based on client specifications.
  6. Advise on suitable technical products, including AC UPS, DC Chargers, and batteries.
  7. Understand requirements for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
  8. Support tendering engineers by providing guidance on margins and pricing to maximize profit.
  9. Ensure all customer interactions and activities are logged in the CRM system.
  10. Prepare quotes and tenders for products, services, and training to meet customer expectations and support other departments.
  11. Participate in site surveys and meetings as necessary.
  12. Provide monthly reports and presentations with the sales team or independently.
  13. Make product development and pricing recommendations.
  14. Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and pricing.
  15. Assist in the development of team members and collaborate across departments.
  16. Promote a proactive, 'Can do' attitude among stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Experience in the Standby Power Industry or similar sectors like switchgear is advantageous.
  2. Knowledge of power electronics.
  3. Ability to produce tenders and quotations is beneficial.
  4. HNC qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
