Your role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Ecommerce Merchandising Manager for our retail brand, Glasses Direct.

The Merchandise Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving product strategy for frames and lenses, focusing on assortment planning, product calendar development, and experience optimization. This role is key to enhancing Average Order Value and improving conversion rates and gross margins.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and implement a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business objectives to improve AOV, CVR, and product margins.
  2. Develop and execute action plans across product assortment, marketing, website experience, and other functions to support strategic goals.

Product Assortment and Pricing Management

  1. Lead development and management of the frame assortment plan, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  2. Coordinate new frame introduction plans with the group team.
  3. Collaborate on lens assortment plans, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder alignment.
  4. Implement effective pricing strategies for frames and lenses to optimize profitability and competitiveness.

AOV, CVR, and Margin Optimization

  1. Lead initiatives to optimize AOV and execute related projects.
  2. Work with UX team to optimize website experience to improve CVR and user engagement.
  3. Oversee product margin performance, refining pricing strategies to enhance profitability.

Product Marketing Calendar Development and Execution

  1. Create and implement a product marketing calendar for frames and lenses, aligned with campaigns and initiatives.
  2. Partner with UX, CRM, Brand, and Marketing teams for strategic alignment and seamless execution.
  3. Coordinate with Group Merchandising to finalize promotional calendars, ensuring compliance with policies.

Reporting and Analysis

  1. Conduct research and analysis to inform product assortment, marketing strategies, and margin improvements.
  2. Generate reports with actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
