An established retailer is building a new DTC team to support its portfolio of brands.
Some of the websites are already performing well; others have far more untapped potential. The opportunity is to understand what each one needs, identify where Ecommerce can make the biggest commercial difference and get those changes delivered.
Why this role is exciting
- Join a retailer investing in DTC as a key area of future growth
- Be part of the first specialist team focused on improving Ecommerce across the business
- Work across a varied portfolio of brands, with the chance to apply successful ideas more widely
- Have the autonomy to decide what needs attention rather than follow an established Ecommerce plan
- Report to a manager who has grown DTC from less than 10% to over 80% of a business and believes challenging work should still be fun
- Potential to support the wider European business as the function develops
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the websites and establishing the commercial priorities for each one
- Managing day-to-day Ecommerce trading across the Shopify stores
- Improving conversion, AOV, merchandising and the onsite customer journey
- Creating and delivering a CRO and testing roadmap
- Using Shopify, GA4 and customer-behaviour data to understand what is helping or hindering performance
- Delivering website updates, campaigns, promotions and product launches
- Managing the development backlog and coordinating work with external agencies
- Working with CRM, brand and commercial teams to make sure activity works across channels
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on Ecommerce experience within a DTC or retail business
- Strong Shopify knowledge
- Experience across Ecommerce trading, CRO and onsite merchandising
- Commercial and analytical, with the ability to turn data into practical action
- Comfortable working directly in the platform and seeing changes through
- Able to manage multiple websites and competing priorities
- Confident working with stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Curious, resourceful and able to work things out when the answer isn’t immediately obvious
- Someone who will get involved, contribute ideas and enjoy being part of a new team
This would suit an Ecommerce professional who still enjoys the hands‑on work but wants more ownership, more variety and the opportunity to influence how a DTC function develops.
