Job summary

Nigel Wright Group is recruiting an Ecommerce Manager for a founder-led, specialist ecommerce business. You will own the technical ecommerce environment, drive platform performance, and lead the team while working with the founder and senior management to identify improvements across systems, integrations, stock, and customer journeys.

Candidate will balance strong ecommerce and technical knowledge with leadership, guiding projects and shaping the future ecommerce direction of the business.

Nigel Wright are working exclusively with an established, founder-led specialist ecommerce business to recruit an Ecommerce Manager into a senior and genuinely influential position.

They're looking for someone who really understands what sits behind a successful ecommerce business, from the ecommerce platform and website infrastructure through to systems, integrations, stock, fulfilment and the overall customer journey.

You'll take ownership of the ecommerce operation, lead and develop the team and work closely with the founder and senior management team to identify where technology, systems and processes can be improved.

The Role:

• Taking ownership of the technical ecommerce environment, website performance and ongoing development
• Understanding and improving integrations between the ecommerce platform and wider business systems
• Working knowledge of BigCommerce and/or Shopify
• Understanding how an ecommerce platform connects with ERP, WMS, payment, fulfilment and other third-party systems
• Leading ecommerce improvement and development projects
• Identifying technical issues and inefficiencies and taking ownership of resolving them
• Leading and developing a team
• Working directly with the founder and senior leadership team on the future ecommerce direction of the business

The Person:

Someone who combines strong technical ecommerce knowledge with leadership experience.

You don't need to be a developer, but you should be technically confident and comfortable getting into the detail of how an ecommerce ecosystem fits together.

Strong ecommerce platform experience is important, alongside knowledge of systems, integrations and the technology behind online retail.

Experience leading people is also key. They want someone who can bring the team with them, introduce improvements and confidently influence at senior level.
