Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking experienced ecologists to join our ecology team across the UK, including Warrington.

You will work on nationally significant projects, deliver ecological surveys, assessments and reporting, and support planning from early stages through delivery. We value consultancy experience, strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, and the ability to manage projects and build client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or related discipline.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), with Chartered Ecologist status desirable for senior positions.
• Experience delivering a wide range of ecological surveys, assessments and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy and environmental regulations.
• Experience preparing Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and protected species reports.
• The ability to manage projects, build strong client relationships and provide technical guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Deliver ecological expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects from planning through delivery.
• Support clients and manage projects, ensuring timely, compliant reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and client relationship management.
• Prepare surveys, assessments and ecological reports for various projects.
