Job summary

Stantec is growing its Ecology team across the UK and invites experienced ecologists to join our national talent network. You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, environmental and development projects, delivering ecological surveys, assessments and reporting from planning through to delivery.

A consultancy background and strong knowledge of UK wildlife law are valued, with Chartered status desirable for senior roles.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline (Ecology/Environmental Science/ Biology).
• Experience delivering ecological surveys, assessments and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy and environmental regulations.
• Experience preparing EcIA, PEA, Biodiversity Net Gain and protected species reports.
• Ability to manage projects and build client relationships with technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ecological expertise across projects from planning through to delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to support sustainable development.
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance on ecological work.
• Contribute to business development and strengthen client relationships.
