Job summary

Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital in Birmingham is seeking an Emergency Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced ECC team on a 4 on, 4 off rota. You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary specialists and provide emergency care to a diverse caseload, with days, nights and twilight shifts.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
• Experience working in out of hours with growing confidence in seeing emergency cases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development.
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard of patient and client care across a varied ECC caseload.
• Consult and care for inpatients alongside our ECC vet, including out-of-hours services.
• Be an integral member of the clinical team and support the development of colleagues.
