Claims Advisor
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:45 - 17:15
Salary: £23,000 - £24,000
We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills to join our client's Claims team, bringing experience in customer calls.
Essential skills: Previous insurance experience.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients by providing personalized service and conducting regular contact calls to meet their needs.
- Communicate effectively via phone, email, and written correspondence, demonstrating the ability to handle a wide variety of claims.
- Accurately record all events, details, and actions related to specific clients on the database.
- Proactively process claims through client contact and coordination with Service Providers.
- Understand the cover purchased by clients to differentiate between eligible and ineligible claims.
- Enter relevant data and scans into the database accurately.
- Manage claims actions using precise data input methods.
- Address potential and existing complaints, discussing contentious claims with the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
- Undertake Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) training as required and stay updated on relevant regulation changes.
- Handle incoming calls appropriately and log all interactions on the client database.
- Meet performance targets and take responsibility for personal performance.
- Stay informed about current company processes, services, and legislative changes related to FCA regulations, and communicate updates to colleagues.
