Role Title: Automotive Services Claims Handler

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit claims handlers in a full-time permanent position to support the company’s continuing growth, reporting to the Automotive Services Team Leader. The role is Fully Remote.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the third-party claims lifecycle, delivering high energy outbound calls to motor insurance claimants to convert third party repairs and associated vehicle hire into the insurer’s preferred repair network and replacement vehicle providers, liaising with the claimant, supplier partners, and setting up invoice payments.

Experience working in a similar role is desired, but not essential.

Key Tasks

  1. Making and receiving calls to third-party claimants and using your skills to capture the claim into the insurer’s preferred repair network and to take a replacement vehicle (when required) from one of the partner providers.
  2. Updating the systems of record.
  3. Obtaining status updates on the vehicle repair and conveying this to the insurer, replacement vehicle provider, and the claimant.
  4. Obtaining the necessary invoices for the repair costs and the vehicle hire, and any specialist costs, ensuring these are properly authorised.
  5. Preparing the pack for payment.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Previous experience in Outbound and Inbound calls.
  • Previous experience of providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Good verbal and written communicator.
  • Good Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A can-do, positive mentality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to target.

Preferred Skills – Knowledge

We are primarily looking for candidates who excel in handling inbound and outbound calls, as well as managing objections effectively. While experience in the insurance or credit hire sector can be helpful, it is not essential for this role, as full training will be provided to cover these areas. Our main focus is on your communication skills and ability to navigate conversations confidently.
