Job Opportunity: Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a market-leading processing business that offers an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a fully automated factory in Perry Barr. We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a factory or manufacturing background, who is multi-skilled with either a mechanical or electrical bias, and holds an engineering qualification.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently and reliably.
  • Liaising with external contractors for maintenance and repairs.
  • Reviewing and updating maintenance schedules regularly.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and creating maintenance plans for the automated facility.
  • Stepping in for the engineering manager when needed.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior technical team members to develop their skills.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering qualification.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
  • Electrical or mechanical bias.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
