Service Engineer

A rare opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading UK and European third-party provider of aftermarket and service engineering support for packaging machinery used in the food industry. This role offers the chance to work for a reputable company with a great team.

BASIC SALARY:

up to £50,000

BENEFITS:

• Overtime to earn circa £10,000
• Choice of Car or Van

LOCATION:

Home-based, covering the whole UK. Candidates can reside anywhere in England, with a preference for Midlands or Northern England if not commutable to the Norfolk office.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS:

Norwich, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Peterborough, Nottingham.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will primarily work on client sites to repair or refurbish machinery (70%) and to install and commission new equipment (30%). The role involves travel, with 2 to 3 nights away per week, occasional trips to Europe, and very occasional weekend work. Overtime is paid door-to-door.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer working on packaging or process machinery in the food industry.
• Alternatively, experienced food factory Maintenance Engineers with hands-on experience in packaging or process machinery.
• Qualified Electrical and/or Electronic Engineer with mechanical skills and ability to fault-find on PLCs.
• Ideally located near Norfolk or in the Midlands/Northern England for commuting.
