Job Description:

Residential Support Worker - Children

Do you have a passion for care or looking for your next rewarding opportunity?

At Bright Futures, we make a real difference to the lives of children and adults with autism and learning disabilities. Through our dedicated team, we deliver outstanding care and education across the North West.

Here we support four children with autism and learning disabilities. You'll be making a difference to their lives, celebrating their achievements, and providing unwavering support; helping them to thrive.

The children are very active - you could be taking them horse riding one day, swimming the next followed by a trip to the cinema to see the latest Disney film. During school term, you could also be doing the school runs so being a driver is a big plus.

Hourly rate of £12.60. You will also receive an extra £60 for 1 sleep in per week. The hourly rate increases to £13.15 when you are qualified

Healthcare cashback scheme (includes dental/optical/physiotherapy/ health and wellbeing support)

Care Friends employee referral & reward scheme to earn up to an extra £1000

Bright Stars bonus payments, employee of the month

All meals & refreshments provided whilst at work

Salary sacrifice schemes - pension, cycle to work and electric vehicle (subject to qualifying criteria)

Life assurance (2x salary)

Responsibilities

Engaging and empowering people's independence

Assisting people through all routines and activities

Supporting people with varied activities in their local communities

Supporting people to access education where required

Preparing and cooking meals

All general housekeeping duties

Supporting people to achieve their person-centred outcomes

To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience in the care sector but we provide full training so this isn't essential

Have a passion for providing great care

Be approachable, friendly, proactive and flexible

Ideally have a full driving license

At Bright Futures, we support you to make a difference, awaken your potential whilst improving the lives of others.

Safeguarding Requirement

Bright Futures commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and our requirement for the successful applicant would be to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Satisfactory references are also required.
