Job summary

ESB is seeking an EC&I Technician based at Coolkeeragh Power Station to maintain electrical and control assets to high safety standards. You will raise work orders, support outage planning, supervise contractors and develop procedures while ensuring compliance with safety rules.

Essential experience includes 3+ years in Electrical/Control & Instrumentation maintenance, PLC/DCS, and instrument calibration, with HV/MV/LV system knowledge. A full driving license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ electrical/Control & Instrumentation maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLC, DCS and instrument calibration.
• Knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems, C&I hardware and plant automation.
• Full driving license.
• Liaising with statutory bodies and contractors (e.g., ATEX)

Responsibilities

• Faultfinding and maintaining electrical and control assets.
• Raising and closing work orders and maintaining CMMS records.
• Assisting with maintenance and outage planning and execution.
• Supervising and directing contractors.
• Writing and implementing procedures and work instructions.
• Complying with safety and environmental obligations.
• Assuming Work Controller and Permit Holder roles where required.
• Collaborating with other departments as directed.
• Engaging in project work and after-hours availability as needed.
