Job summary

Viridor Limited is seeking an EC&I Technician at Avonmouth ERF to maintain electrical, control and instrumentation equipment across the site. The role is 40 hours per week, day shift with a 1-in-4 callout rota.

You’ll focus on keeping plant reliability, safety and performance through proactive maintenance and problem solving. Experience in EC&I engineering within a process/manufacturing environment, and proficiency with DCS/SCADA, CMMS and instrument drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience EC&I engineering within a process/manufacturing or similar complex industrial environment.
• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ3/HNC or equivalent).
• Experience with DCS/SCADA systems and CMMS.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and electrical safety.
• Ability to read instrument loop drawings and P&IDs.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in line with site maintenance plans.
• Diagnose and rectify EC&I faults to minimise plant downtime.
• Plan and complete corrective and reactive maintenance activities.
• Manage calibration records and carry out instrument calibrations.
• Work with instrument loop drawings and P&IDs.
• Support and coordinate contractors on site.
• Identify and deliver improvements to increase plant reliability and reduce costs.
• Ensure safe systems of work and conduct risk assessments.
