Job summary

Rolls-Royce East Midlands is seeking an EC&I System V&V Engineer to join the Verification & Validation team. You’ll verify control systems and support deployment onto boats, ensuring high-integrity performance in support of the Royal Navy.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field, extensive V&V/HIL experience, and strong Excel, with Python/MATLAB skills advantageous. Security clearance and UK-national status are likely prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, Software Engineering, Physics or related (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive Verification & Validation experience, including HIL testing.
• Strong understanding of high-integrity electrical/electronic systems.
• Knowledge of product design lifecycle: requirements, design, verification, safety, acceptance.
• Advanced Excel skills for test data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with Python, VBA or MATLAB/Simulink advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Generate V&V processes and tools for testing and analysis of test evidence.
• Own the verification of one or more EC&I products.
• Review requirements and allocate verification methods.
• Develop algorithm emulators, test procedures and scripts.
• Design, deploy, operate and maintain bespoke test rigs and sensor simulators.
• Conduct testing of EC&I equipment and compile verification reports.
