Job summary

Actemium Design is recruiting an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Degree Apprentice to gain practical experience across design and development of EC&I systems for high‑regulation industries. You will work on electrical drawings, select equipment, and develop PLC/DCS systems in a nuclear/defence environment.

The role is office-based design work with mentorship, EPA in final year, and a Level 6 BEng upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Minimum entry requirements: 96 UCAS points from L3 qualifications such as A-Levels, BTech or T-Level in Engineering or related topic.
• A-Level Mathematics (Grade C) required.
• T-Level Engineering or Technical (Grade Merit or Distinction) required.
• BTEC (Level 3) Engineering or Technical (Grade Merit or Distinction) required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering projects of national importance across nuclear energy, defence, and decommissioning sectors, from concept through to detailed design and manufacture.
• Support planning and execution of engineering and design activities, producing drawings, calculations and technical documentation with industry tools.
