Job Title: Senior Electrical Operations Manager – Exhibitions & Events

Location: Manchester (Salford) – with travel across the UK and occasional overseas projects

Salary: £51,500 + £4,800 Car Allowance

Hours: 40 core hours/week, flexibility required including evenings/weekends

Are you an experienced and hands-on electrical manager ready to take ownership of large-scale exhibition and event delivery across the UK and beyond? We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Operations Manager to join our clients dynamic and fast-paced team delivering exhibition builds, installations, and live event support.

You’ll be one of a small number of senior operational leads within the electrical division, responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of exhibition stands and event electrical services—from planning through to on-site delivery and post-event debrief.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Project Ownership: Lead the electrical services for multiple live exhibitions, overseeing planning, supplier coordination, on-site support, and post-event wrap-up.
• Team Management: Manage and support electrical delivery managers, technicians, and support staff across regional hubs.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance and technical support, act as a key contact for venues and exhibitors to resolve electrical requirements, and liaise with suppliers
• Event Planning: Work closely with the Event Management and Sales Teams to plan resources, floor plan layouts, and coordinate service partner involvement.
• Stock & Supplier Oversight: Manage stock levels with suppliers and external service partner relationships to ensure timely and efficient event delivery.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 5+ years, ideally in Live Event/Exhibition delivery or a related field
• Qualifications: City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications, including 17th/18th Edition IET Electrical Installation.
• Leadership: Strong people manager, solve problems on-site, and deliver under pressure to strict deadlines.
• Customer-Focused: Approachable and solutions-oriented, able to work directly with clients, exhibitors, and suppliers.
• Adaptable: Flexible to travel across the UK (Manchester, Midlands, Ripon) and internationally, and work late nights or weekends as needed for events.
